Sophie de Lint has recently been appointed as director of the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. Previously she has been the artistic director of the Zurich Opern for 6 years. The Zurich Opera was chosen Opera Company of the Year 2014 (International Opera Awards), in only the second season under the new administration.
She also held positions at the Grand Theater de Geneve, the Bayreuth Festival, New National Theatre Tokyo, Wiener Volksoper and Opéra de Marseille.
